GENERAL DUTIES
Provides information and services to the College community to support the Human Resources function.
Prepares and executes various personnel transactions involving employee recordkeeping, processing of new hires, pay administration, and recruiting
Maintains an understanding of policies, procedures, regulations, and collective bargaining agreements relevant to human resources
Organizes and processes employee information; develops and maintains reports and queries; assures data accuracy and completeness
Responds to requests for information; troubleshoots issues, follows up and responds to employee inquiries
Assists HR managers with employee communications of all kinds; may prepare materials, conduct orientation sessions, or update web pages
Performs related duties as assigned.

CAMPUS SPECIFIC INFORMATION
Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR Coordinator will perform various Human Resources activities to support the HR Manger with maintaining the integrity of data distributed for input in the Human Capital Management (HCM) pillar which includes the following:
Prepares and executes various personnel transactions involving employee recordkeeping, processing of new hires, pay administration, and off boarding with departments and administrative Offices.
Maintain an in-depth understanding of CUNY policies, procedures, regulations, and collective bargaining agreements relevant to human resources.
Assist with compliance, including interpretation of various contracts Professional Staff Congress (PSC) contract as well as White Collar, Blue Collar, and Skilled Trades, monitors and processes personnel actions for PSC employees as per contract.
Prepare the College agenda and distribution of material for Faculty and Staff (FP&B) review and approval process.
Works with PeopleSoft systems, such as CUNYFirst, and NYC Payroll Systems such as PMS and CHRMS to ensure timely payments and accurate records.
Organizes and processes employee information; develops and maintains reports and queries; assures data accuracy and completeness.
Research and respond to requests for information from faculty and staff, troubleshoot issues, follow up and respond to employee inquiries.
Maintains salary and notification logs for Instructional/ Non-Instructional Staff. (Semester, annual, and 3-year adjunct appointments).
Train the HR staff with on hiring, off-boarding, and other HR transactions.
Supervise HR staff in absence of the HR Manager, assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree required.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and PeopleSoft applications
High degree of professionalism and personal integrity to maintain confidentiality
Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team setting with a diverse staff of all levels
Experience with using electronic databases
Detail-orientated, self-directed, motivated, and proactive
Strong data analytical and evaluative skills
One year experience working in a higher education setting preferred
COMPENSATION
Salary commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience. ($44,411-$57,517)
