How you'll make an impact:

SiriusXM is looking for a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager to join our Corporate Finance team. This position will support the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) for SiriusXM's podcast business. The right individual will be key in developing accurate forecasts, reporting on business metrics, and driving strategic decisions through modeling and analysis for our Content and Sales groups. The FP&A Manager will interact regularly with cross-functional leaders in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

What you'll do:

  • Act as a contributor to the advertising business' annual budgeting, quarterly, and monthly outlook processes to establish targets and inform senior management of recent trends
  • Maintain and iterate advertising business-related financial models, including rolling forecasts, long term outlook, and various ad hoc requests
  • Work closely with our Sales and Content teams on strategic decisions that impact the podcast P&L and communicate the impacts of those decisions to the necessary stakeholders
  • Evaluate and approve deal P&Ls based on proposed terms and input from Sales and Content
  • Perform ad hoc analyses that drive strategic business decisions; Analyze data and financial and business metrics used by the company and senior management
  • Succinctly verbalize forecasts and budgets to the appropriate stakeholders, including preparing review materials; Be able to explain variances within versions and the impact of your changes to the Finance consolidation team and VP/SVP
  • Investigate variances between actuals and forecasts to understand trends and potential risks and opportunities
  • Develop relationships and collaborate with multiple departments to understand the effect of the advertising business on company initiatives that inform our rolling forecasts
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to streamline monthly deliverables

What you'll need:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking, or consulting, including excellent analytical skills and a strong proficiency in financial modeling; experience at a top-tier investment bank or consulting firm is a plus.
  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • Basic knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and solid understanding of corporate finance is required.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Proactive self-starter with the ability to multitask and prioritize appropriately to meet tight deadlines.
  • Expert level of proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required. Experience with Anaplan, Essbase, or Oracle is a plus.
  • Strong financial analysis and quantitative skills; high attention to detail is a must
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Comfortable working with and articulating financial concepts to managers and senior executives
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • High standard for integrity required for exposure to confidential company performance, legal contracts, and employee information.
  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $99,200 to $120,000 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
