Description

We are offering a role in the Real Estate & Property industry located in New York, New York, United States. The job function is that of a Payroll Specialist. This role is an ongoing interim employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for comprehensive payroll processing, including salaried, hourly and multi-state payroll.

• Handle day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including payables and receivables.

• Utilize Ceridian and Microsoft Excel for various tasks and processes.

• Maintain and update the payroll systems for 101-500 employees.

• Ensure that all payroll information is recorded accurately and in a timely manner.

• Liaise with other departments to ensure smooth operation of payroll processes.

• Resolve any payroll discrepancies and answer employee queries regarding payroll.

• Adhere to all federal and state laws regarding payroll and employee data.

• Collaborate with the HR team to ensure all employee records are up to date.

• Regularly review and improve payroll policies and procedures.

Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Payroll Specialist or similar role in the Real Estate & Property industry.

• Proficient in using payroll software such as Ceridian, Ceridian DOS, and Ceridian Windows.

• Experience in handling multi-state payroll is necessary.

• Proven ability to manage payroll for a workforce of 101-500 employees.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

• High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.

• Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to salaries, wages, and benefits.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot payroll issues effectively.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Strong understanding of tax procedures and laws related to payroll.
