Amazon Sales Account Manager, Pharma in New York, New York

Amazon Advertising operates at the intersection of advertising and e-commerce and offers advertisers a rich array of innovative advertising solutions across Amazon’s mobile and desktop websites, proprietary devices and the Amazon Advertising Platform. We believe that advertising, when done well, can enhance the customer experience and generate a positive return on investment for our advertising partners. We are looking for a highly motivated Account Manager to join our talented team to help scale our growing Advertising program. Account Managers partner with advertisers, sales and other internal Amazon businesses to drive advertiser success.

As an Account Manager you are passionate about understanding business drivers for performance, the range of Amazon products available to our advertisers, and engaging with internal and external partners to deliver on these. You play a key role on the account team, growing the business by being the customer expert, developing annual brand plans inclusive of integrated media plans and audience recommendations. You possess strong analytical ability, and will develop deep expertise in Amazon’s products and proprietary metrics to build winning campaigns and optimizing performance to derive insights and meet our advertisers’ needs. You also thrive in ambiguous situations, with the ability to be a self-starter and find solutions without guidance.

This is a client-facing role that is also responsible for identifying opportunities to drive incremental revenue and long-term growth. The Account Manager is an expert in delivering consultative solutions for our partners, earning their trust by educating them on how to be successful on Amazon.

Key job responsibilities

  • Become an expert on Amazon solutions and adapt recommendations based on advertiser needs

  • Develop annual brand plans and campaign media plans

  • Optimize campaign performance that fulfills advertiser goals

  • In-depth data analysis to develop actionable insights and recommendations for future campaigns

  • Consult and educate advertisers with insights and solutions to achieve greater results on Amazon

  • Strong project management skills to impact process improvements

  • Work cross-functionally with sales and other Amazon partners to drive revenue and increase advertiser satisfaction

Basic Qualifications

-5+ years relevant experience in a client facing role including but not limited to digital marketing, analytics etc.

-Experience in Omni-channel marketing, display, over-the-top (OTT), or search marketing

Preferred Qualifications

-Bachelors’ degree in Economics, Marketing, Advertising, Statistics, Engineering or Business; MBA is a plus

-Excellent organizational, relationship-building, and communication (written and verbal) skills

-Programmatic strategy and implementation experience

-Proven track record of delivering results (including revenue targets) and significantly contributing to advertiser revenue growth

-Adept at solving problems that span business and technology

-Influence process improvement that scales broadly; inventing and simplifying within existing processes

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $70,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $150,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. This position is eligible for variable pay via a sales compensation plan. These plans pay according to achievement level against sales targets and/or business objectives. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
