Senior Business Analyst (White & Case LLP, New York, NY)Build, expand and own business stakeholder relationships to improve the Business Intelligence (BI) team’s understanding of challenges and opportunities across the Firm’s functional areas. Source, scope, and own delivery of initiatives to build dashboards and to provide proactive, insightful analysis across the Firm’s functional areas, including Finance, HR/People, BD & Marketing and Knowledge. Gather and accurately define analytical and reporting requirements with all stakeholders for project management and create priorities in line with milestones, objectives, and delivery of solutions within an agile development process. Develop roadmaps and prioritize with internal and external stakeholders. Collaborate with Development Team to build technical requirements and deliver new tools, features, and solutions within an Agile development process. Communicate BI strategy to stakeholders throughout the Firm. Work with stakeholders to drive engagement with BI tools through training and outreach. Understand the key data structures and data definitions that are available to deliver the analysis and identify ways to share your knowledge within the broader BI group. Analyze the Firm’s business model, processes, and organization to become a trusted advisor for reporting and BI. Collaborate with the shared services team to innovate and improve quality, process optimization and streamlined delivery of standard and recurring reporting. Translate complex and nuanced messages into intuitive and simple-to-understand analysis and commentary. Work across business units to cultivate an understanding of business problems and analytics demand. Telecommuting may be permitted 2-3 days per week. When not telecommuting, must report to White & Case LLP, 1221 Avenue of the Americas, New York, New York 10020. Salary Range: $135,782 - $156,000/year.Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Business Analytics, Business, Computing, or related field, plus 2 years of professional experience as a Data Analyst, Project Manager, Business Intelligence Analyst, or related occupation/position/job title involving business analysis including BI and Agile methodologies and processes.In lieu of a Master’s degree plus 2 years of professional experience, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Business Analytics, Business, Computing, or related field, plus 4 years of professional experience as a Data Analyst, Project Manager, Business Intelligence Analyst, or related occupation/position/job title involving business analysis including BI and Agile methodologies and processes.Must also have experience with the following special skills: 2 years of professional experience in hands-on business analysis, requirements gathering, and stakeholder management; 2 years of professional experience innovating and improving quality, process optimization and streamlined delivery of standard and recurring BI reporting;2 years of professional experience effectively assessing new BI software and technologies and developing initiatives for BI team collaboration and knowledge sharing; 2 years of professional experience in SQL for querying, manipulating and exploring large datasets, including advanced SQL scripts for complex data analysis tasks; 2 years of professional experience in developing interactive dashboards and reporting using Power BI; 2 years of professional experience leading and managing technology projects with Agile SCRUM methodology; 2 years of professional experience collaborating closely with government agencies and regulatory bodies, understanding their unique needs and requirements, and translating these into effective technology solutions; 2 years of professional experience in data migration, utilizing SQL to write efficient data migration scripts, ensuring seamless transition and integration of data between different systems; 2 years of professional experience in building Crystal Reports and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports; and 2 years of professional experience in new product development for the environmental protection industry.Please submit resume online at: https://www.whitecase.com or via email to lateralrecruiting@whitecase.com.
