Conduct proof-of-concepts and pilots to evaluate technologies and tools while establishing standard design patterns. Work with business and IT collaborators to ensure data architectures address objectives. Responsible for platform automation, security, and governance. Work with solution architects to identify infrastructure needs and provide support to developers and business users. Research performance issues and optimize platform for performance. Design, deploy, configure, and support the operations of our data and analytics platforms, including working with open source and/or commercial stacks to support the full SDLC. Deploy, handle, and maintain development, test, and production environments. Resolve issues in all operational environments. Provide technical training to external team members. Work with a multi-functional agile team delivering incremental software deployments. Serve as a driving force to institute DataOps thinking and processes. Measure and report key performance indicators for the data platform and capabilities services.May telecommute. Requirements: Employer will accept a Master's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6 years of experience in the job offered or in a Senior Data Engineer related occupation.
