Compensation
Salary range: $119,377-$169,439 (Grade A/920)
Responsibilities
Oversee the development, evaluation, recommendation, and implementation of all long- and short-term subway service revisions. Direct the system-wide process by which track access for capital and maintenance work is coordinated, scheduled, approved, and implemented. Direct the technical planning and analysis of subway operations and performance, including running time analyses, track and signal capacity modeling, and station and fleet planning. Recommend and advance capital improvements associated with subway service and station circulation needs. Project alternative subway and bus needs during capital work, emergencies, and special events.
Education And Experience
Degree Required - master’s M a jor Field of Study; Transportation-Management Other: Urban-Planning Public Administration and 10 years of experience. Of which 6 must be in an administration, managerial supervisory capacity or an equivalent combination of education & experience.
Desired Skills
Substantial knowledge of New York City subway and bus operations and major service issues.
Familiarity with transit scheduling, planning, and modeling techniques, data collection and analysis, statistics, and budgeting.
Familiarity with NYC neighborhoods and multimodal travel patterns.
Ability to work collaboratively across departmental lines to accomplish goals and to plan strategically with a wide range of stakeholders.
Demonstrated project management, technical, analytical and presentation skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
