Amazon Software Development Manager, Identity and Access Management in New York, New York

Advertising at Amazon is growing incredibly fast and we are responsible for defining and delivering a collection of advertising products that drive discovery and sales.

Our team manages the end-to-end lifecycle of Advertiser Account Management including Registration and granular Access Control. We are working on the next-generation Advertiser Registration and Account Management akin to AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) service. The systems are pushing boundaries in terms of scale of storage, data processing and real-time propagation.

We're looking for an experienced Software Development Manager to lead engineering and innovation for the new Advertising Identity and Access Management. You will be leading a team of talented engineers to build, operate, and scale software solutions from the group up or within existing systems. Key job responsibilities

  1. Develop technical roadmap, strategy, and facilitate the technical architecture between multiple complex systems.

  2. Create buy-in for the technical vision and strategy both internally and with key external partners

  3. Manage prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience, schedule, performance and cost

  4. Proactively identify and resolve technical risks and issues that may impair the team's ability to meet strategic or technical goals.

  5. Collaborate with cross-functional team to deliver the best experience for our customers

  6. Support the professional growth and career development of your team

About the team

The Amazon Business Ads vision is to provide the B2B decision maker more discoverable and relevant options to meet their organization’s various business purchasing goals while providing advertisers more ways to effectively market to and engage these decision makers on and off-Amazon (we define the business decision maker as anyone making a purchasing decision for themselves or on behalf of their business/organization).

Basic Qualifications

- - 2+ years of engineering team management experience

- - 5+ years of engineering experience

- - Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations

Preferred Qualifications

- - Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy

- - Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $166,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $287,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
