2024-2025 School Year Position: Substitute Bus Driver Location: Newton Community School District Bus Driver Salary Schedule for 2024-2025
Hourly Route Substitute Base Pay: $31.84
Routes are approximately 3 hours per day.
Hourly Activity Trip/Field Trip Pay: $20.00
Additional hours available year round for activity trips and extracurricular activities.
School Day Routes (Monday - Friday)CDL training providedQualifications:
Valid and/or eligible to hold a CDL drivers license to operate a school bus as required by State Law with passenger “P” and airbrake endorsements.
Driver must have a good driving record.
Driver must comply with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and obtain/sustain US DOT Medical Examiners Certificate
Hired applicants must be able to pass the prework physical requirements.
Performance Responsibilities:
Be responsible for passengers safety, welfare, discipline, and protection.
Report any problems or unusual occurrences to the Transportation Supervisor.
Adhere to all federal, state, local, and school district regulations, including random drug/alcohol testing.
