Atlantic Health System Medical Office Associate I, Per Diem 8A-4P, Infusion Centers in NJ, United States

JOB PURPOSE:

Performs general receptionist, registration, and scheduling duties in an outpatient infusion setting.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Manages phones

  • Greets patients

  • Schedules/confirms appointments

  • Enters demographics & patient information

  • Verifies insurance coverage, complete forms, collect co-pays

  • Balances cash

  • Maintains schedule in EMR system, and processes pre-certs/authorizations & referrals as well as medical records releases.

  • Other duties as assigned

Will support Infusion sites in Rockaway, Morristown and Bridgewater

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience

  • Prior administrative experience in a physician practice strongly preferred

  • Knowledge of computerized scheduling & EMR system a plus

    COMPETENCIES:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Individual must be customer and employee focused, must have demonstrated ability to multi-task

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
