Study Group Quality Assurance Automation Engineer in Noida, India

JOB OVERVIEW

As a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer, you will act as a change agent, working alongside Developers, Architects, and other business units to foster a strong quality assurance culture. You will set the standard for innovation, leadership, and autonomy within the company. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Quality Assurance Manager to shape and design testing automation and tools. Your contributions will be pivotal in guiding the quality assurance discipline within the development team, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality products. You will be expected to have a broad knowledge of tools and technologies related to both development and testing.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality and efficiency.

  • Create, promote, and evangelise Quality Assurance processes and practice across the Study Group.

  • Improving the quality of User Stories by well-understood, unambiguous, and testable from the start.

  • Lead engineering in troubleshooting Quality Assurance and software issues in all environments.

  • Champion the concept of continuous improvement of Quality Assurance processes.

  • Champion the standardisation, automation, and simplification of Quality Assurance practices

  • Developing test automation frameworks covering API functionality testing and UI end to end tests.

  • Influence and guide development teams across the department to follow testing best practice.

  • Create new and maintain as appropriate existing automation frameworks, identifying areas for improvement and implementing the changes required.

  • Promoting a positive work ethic, demonstrating a willingness to work beyond your own sphere of expertise to deliver projects on time when and where necessary.

  • Assisting with the creation and review of technical specifications, design and analysis documentation of modules that comprise a Study Group application or product.

  • Supporting the Test Manager with analysis, providing detailed technical information where required.

    ABOUT YOU

  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline is preferred.

  • Foundation level ISTQB qualified, QA Certifications and/or Equivalent.

  • Experience with API testing strategies.

  • Strong BDD experience with a high focus on test automation vs manual testing

  • Strong understanding of a balanced Test Pyramid with separation of unit, integration, and end-to-end tests

  • Experience implementing QA tests within a Microservices architecture.

  • Able to describe differences and identify candidates for Unit, Integration & E2E tests.

  • Experience setting up test frame works.

  • Experience in testing tools such as Cypress or Selenium.

  • Experience in agile methodologies.

  • Web and App testing experience.
