Job Title: Chiller Operator
1st shift
30 - 31 per hour
Job Description
Supports the safe and efficient operation of HVAC and Centrifugal Chillers (up to 2000 tons) and other equipment associated with the chiller plants in compliance with American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) codes and standards. Monitors and assists in troubleshooting the chiller management system that controls the chilled water equipment serving the campus. Supports the monitoring and maintenance of cooling tower water treatment controllers and associated equipment. Performs daily inspections of the chiller equipment. Assists in the sampling and testing of chemicals necessary to maintain correct water chemistry for systems. Works safely in accordance with OSHA standards and all other applicable federal regulations. Completes preventative maintenance orders, work orders, and documents work performed. Communicates effectively with department personnel and management to support chiller plant operation, maintenance, and repair. Performs other related responsibilities as required.
Hard Skills
