Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description

Join our team as a Manufacturing Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in new product launches and current product line maintenance. This role is dynamic and engaging; it involves interaction with operators to understand the manufacturing processes in depth. We aim for continuous improvement and operating excellence, and your contributions will be critical to achieving these goals. You will be tasked with driving results and achieving targets, with a focus on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Morale. This is not a CAD heavy role; it's about being hands-on, understanding the shop floor, and making a difference.

Hard Skills

  • Root cause analysis

  • Knowledge in Welding & Assembly

  • Experience in Continuous Improvement

  • Ability to manage all aspects of manufacturing processes for new product launches

  • Experience in maximizing efficiency by analyzing and implementing layouts, workflow, manufacturing methods, and workforce utilization

  • Experience in creating and implementing meaningful metrics

  • Experience in process methods documentation and standard operating procedures development

  • Experience in development and implementation of jigs and fixtures

  • Experience in assisting in capital projects from concept to implementation

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Normal, Illinois.

Work Environment

The role involves both shop floor and office work, with significant time spent on the shop floor interacting with supervisors and the shop team to identify problems and areas for improvement. You will be in the heart of the action, working closely with the team to drive continuous improvement and excellence.
