What You Will Do

Job Summary:

Manage the daily line production schedule by developing weekly and daily production plans in accordance with the Master Production Schedule. Responsible for the coordination of Leaf Planning.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develops and communicates daily/weekly production plans based on the master production schedule as well as factors introduced by specific brands and/or equipment or machine specific considerations.

  • Monitors the production schedule daily to adjust for any exceptions (machine down, materials unavailable, labor shortage). Update plans in relevant systems as needs arise.

  • Leads weekly meeting to review the next week’s production schedule. Communicate and coordinate all production schedule changes with internal stakeholders.

  • Partners closely with Purchasing Planners to monitor non-tobacco materials (NTM) inventory and develop plan based on material estimated time of arrival (ETAs). Adjust plans as needed to minimize downtime due to material availability issues.

  • Creates reports to track Specialty Packaging Rollouts and documents relevant information in system to aid Supervisors. Coordinate production plan for roll-outs, specifies volumes to be produced, and provides updates to the E2E team on status.

  • Creates weekly Primary plan based on inventory levels, production demand, and production bottleneck analysis. Communicate weekly Primary plan to the Leaf Department.

  • Orders tobacco grades and coordinates any necessary adjustments to the delivery plan.

  • Monitors leaf warehouse capacity. Based on capacity analysis, adjust the tobacco delivery schedule accordingly to maximize storage capacity.

  • Works in Interspec to make grade changes and update bill of materials (BOMs).

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Minimum Qualifications :

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field of study and 5+ years related work experience or Associate degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field of study and 7+ years related work experience or High School Diploma / GED and 9+ years related work experience.

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.

  • Related work experience to include, but is not limited to:

  • Relevant supply chain experience, preferably in production planning

Knowledge of:

  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint) and Microsoft Teams, with an emphasis on Excel.

  • Intermediate proficiency with database reporting software and/or enterprise resource planning software (ERP).

Skilled in:

  • Verbal and written communication

  • Attention to detail

  • Problem/situation analysis

  • Effective time and task management

  • Multitasking capabilities

  • Flexibility and adaptability

Ability to:

Preferred Qualifications :

Education and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field of study and 10+ years related work experience

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • Proficiency in ERP/Inventory planning software, e.g., SAP

Work Environment and Physical Demand

  • Requires light physical effort. Occasionally lifts or moves moderate to heavy weight objects (10-50 lbs.).

  • Walks, sits, or stands for prolonged periods.

  • Use of manual dexterity and fine motor skills.

  • Requires prolonged machine operation including computer and keyboard equipment.

  • Works with equipment or performs procedures where carelessness may result in injury.

  • Experience exposure to uncomfortable work environment due to extreme temperature, noise level, and other conditions including second-hand smoke and/or vape.
