What You Will Learn:

L'Oréal is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Raw Materials Supply Planning Manager to lead our efforts in ensuring the availability of critical materials for the manufacturing and production of our iconic beauty and cosmetic products. In this role, you will be responsible for the leadership and development of a team overseeing the end-to-end supply planning process for raw materials used in our manufacturing operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure inventory availability while optimizing stock levels, as well as managing strategic projects in support of supply chain excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

People Leadership

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the raw materials supply planning team, support and continue to grow expertise within the team, and implement organizational change when required

  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment that encourages knowledge sharing and continuous improvement

  • Display calm and effective leadership during crises, influencing teams to stay focused and adapt to rapidly changing circumstances

    Materials Supply Planning

  • Develop and execute strategies to meet production demands while maintaining optimal inventory levels

  • Define the materials supply planning parameters and standardize the supply practice

  • Ensure the availability of raw materials for production and anticipate issues to minimize impact

  • Monitor and analyze demand patterns, material consumption, and supplier performance to make data-driven decisions

  • Ensure the smooth and efficient fulfillment of RAI material requests by providing oversight and support throughout the process

    Inventory Management

  • Conduct regular analyses of inventory data, identifying slow-moving, obsolete, or excess inventory and propose corrective actions

  • Regularly assess and implement safety stock levels based on demand variability and lead time fluctuations to mitigate supply chain disruptions and ensure customer service levels are met

  • Generate and distribute inventory reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) to stakeholders, providing insights into inventory performance

  • Participate in development of yearly raw material budget

    Supplier Relationship Management

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with raw materials suppliers, negotiating terms, addressing supply constraints, and ensuring on time deliveries

  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with supplier performance, including supply disruptions, quality issues, and financial stability

  • Collaborate with suppliers to improve lead times, cost-effectiveness, and communication to resolve supply issues promptly while adhering to L'Oréal's ethical and sustainability standards

    Project Management

  • Continuously identify and implement process improvements within the materials planning and procurement functions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs

  • Set objectives and follow up supply chain key performance indicators for suppliers’ service, inventory management of raw materials, and excess and obsolete

  • Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and thought leadership to teams on supply chain strategy, trends, and industry best practices

  • Support the launch team in the validation of timelines for new launches

  • Facilitate and execute interplant material transfers

    Performance Metrics and Reporting

  • Utilize advanced supply chain management tools and systems to analyze complex data sets, derive actionable insights, and support informed decision-making

  • Generate sophisticated reports and dashboards to communicate supply planning performance, trends, and opportunities to senior management

  • Provide feedback to the corporate sourcing team to address supplier performance issues and influence future contracts

  • Monitor and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) related to materials procurement

  • Master Data accuracy

    What We Are Looking For:

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (advanced degree preferred)

  • Extensive experience in supply chain planning, with a strong background in strategic supply management and project leadership

  • High Proficiency in MS Excel required (including data analysis, logic testing, pivot tables)

  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)

  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to motivate and develop direct reports

  • Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to lead and execute cross-functional projects

  • Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders

  • Results-driven mindset with the ability to influence and drive positive change within the organization

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and sustainability practices related to raw materials sourcing is a plus
