Actalent Cad Drafter in North Reading, Massachusetts

Job Title: CAD DrafterJob Description

The candidate will be responsible for taking CAD designs from the solution team and making them deployment-ready. This includes exclusively using AutoCAD, receiving CAD designs, cleaning them up, ensuring there are no interferences, adding layers to the design to support deployment, putting the designs in a format for construction, and taking items from the library, cutting them, and placing them with attention to detail. This team supports deployment efforts and provides drawing 'MAPS' to the field to support deployment, installation, and integration efforts. The MAPS/documents created will be live documents accessible to team members in the field. The ideal candidate will not only have the technical capability to support but must have strong communication skills to collaborate with team members who will be using these MAPS to get their jobs done in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Receive CAD designs and clean them up, ensuring there are no interferences.

  • Add layers to the design to support deployment.

  • Put the designs in a format for construction.

  • Take items from the library, cut them, and place them with attention to detail.

  • Support deployment efforts and provide drawing 'MAPS' to the field for deployment, installation, and integration.

  • Create live documents accessible to team members in the field.

  • Collaborate with team members who will be using these MAPS.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD

  • Experience with 2D CAD designs

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Excellent communication skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum of an AA degree preferred

  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
