Position: Timekeeper

Location: Aachen, Germany

Contract: Full-time, unlimited

In this role, you will be mainly responsible for the Timekeeping from an operational aspect but also as the owner for the system and processes in this area. You ensure that they run correctly, are up to date with the latest standards and support the business in the best way. At the same time, you ensure that users are trained in the system and the processes and that we are constantly developing them further.

Responsibilities:

Audit Reports:

  • Timecard Signoff,

  • Review and Approval Audit Report,

  • Maintain approvals and testing evidence for audit requirements

Errors and Approvals:

  • Work with supervisors to ensure errors and approvals have been submitted by Payroll deadline

Historical Edits:

  • Assist supervisors/employees to resolve prior period issues (historical edits)

Business changes:

  • Coordinate with Time Admin on business changes required, provide commentary analysis to Time Admin or Payroll team for large variances related to weekly changes in paid hours Badges –

  • Clock times: Work with security to capture badge numbers and assign within the T&A system to allow employees access to designated clocks within their work area. Add new supervisors when they differ from Workday manager.

System Issues:

  • Work with T&A Admin and Technical Support to resolve clock and system issues including security issues

Contractors:

  • Sites with contractors: Execute and provide reports with temporary, contingency or contractor worker time tracking

  • Training / Continues Improvement

  • Train new employees (system and process)

  • Provide training to all EEs and Managers for changes, updates etc.

  • Review existing processes, have a clear documentation and process description and improve them to meet the business needs

HR Ops Responsibilities until end of CY24

  • Support of entry and exit processes

  • Taking over operational activities in the HR area

  • support in administrative tasks

  • Administrative support for projects

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent

Work Experience

  • 3-5 years‘ relevant experience in Business Administration and/or as service provider

  • Previous work experience with human resources and payroll applications

  • Previous work experience interpreting, applying and enforcing timekeeping methods

  • Previous work experience maintaining payroll records and preparing various monthly salary expenditure reports

  • Previous work experience resolving complaints pertaining to timekeeping methods and procedures

  • Previous work experience interpreting and preparing clear, concise and accurate reports

  • High level of communication and service skills, solution-oriented

  • language proficiency in German & English

  • SAP experience preferred (SAP Fiori)
