Yanfeng International Automotive Technology US I LLC: Novi, MI: Customer Quality Engineering (CQE) Manager

Duties:  

• Ensure quality system is implemented, maintained and improved in plants according to the IOS requirements.

• Monitor plant performance at all customer (OEM) locations as well as assign priorities to Customer Quality Engineering (CQE) and plant team for problem solving and CAPA implementation.

• Guide the team in analyzing and solving quality issues and ensuring the manufacturing process is under control and represents no risk to the customer.

• Achieve highest customer satisfaction by coordinating to solve issues at customer site as well as plant level. 

• Risk Management for customer and manufacturing plant (Program, Engineering, Materials, Quality, logistic related issues.)

• Coordinate to solve the issues of advanced quality plan of new products and suppliers' quality, improving the products quality and reducing the cost of manufacturing.

• Coach and train different functions in the plant on customer specific requirements and systems.

• Serve as key interface between plant operations and customer in North America region

• Serve as key contact for any escalation impacting Customer in North America region.

• Oversee the Customer quality department management, and ensure that quality goal is understood and achieved through effective plan, organization, coordination and control.

• Organize and execute the quality standards implementation, tracking the implementation progress of countermeasures, ensuring that products quality on site and at customer facility is under control.

• Responsible for solving and improving suppliers' quality issues, establishing and improving supplier management system and evaluation system, and help to improve suppliers' capability.

• Review qualities data, report and make action plan based on the certain plan, supervising the control plans, receiving material inspection instructions and related quality work instructions.

• Lead the quality team to conduct continuous improvement, supervising the implementation of action plan and promoting quality control capability.

• Ensure Effective Operation of IOS documentation and continuously improve relevant process and their application of IOS documentation internal.

• Oversee safety works and practice related safety regulations as well as perfect safety equipment and practice safety protect and production target, and also ensure employee and equipment safety.

• Telecommuting permitted.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Engineering, or Electronic Engineering plus five (5) years of experience as a Quality Engineer in the automotive industry responsible for analyzing manufacturing processes for improvements using various methods of testing and inspection and driving quality improvements through problem solving. Telecommuting is permitted. Need proof of legal authorization to work indefinitely in the U.S.
