You will be responsible for the amplification of existing print and digital content, as well as creating and curating insightful, informative, inspirational and entertaining social and audio content that is grounded in insight.

You will be the core digital and social stakeholder on this account. As such, the role is both hands-on and strategic.

It is a multi-channel role that requires experience in stakeholder management at all levels, an encyclopaedic knowledge of digital and social platform best practice, a proactive attentiveness to channel news, updates and algorithm changes, and an appetite for can-do creativity to ensure our client remains a leader in content.

Key Responsibilities

  • Content planning, scheduling, publishing and reporting

  • Uploading digital content into the CMS

  • Writing original digital content (business/finance focused)

  • Managing, creating and building long-form immersive digital content

  • Creating compelling audio editions/versions of digital content

  • Socialising digital content across an array of social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook will be priority platforms)

  • Collaborating with designers on social tiles and animated videos, providing content/copy direction in addition to references, scripts and storyboards

  • Interviewing talent on the set of photoshoots, creating trend-inspired original social-first content that’s edu-taining and insightful

  • Monthly performance reporting, providing expert analysis and recommendations to support the data and next month’s output

  • Championing digital, social and audio knowledge internally and externally; being the point of excellence and confident expert in these channels

  • Attending client meetings and pitching digital, social and audio concepts

  • Proactively ensuring you’re up-to-date with the latest channel updates and best practices

Who are you?

  • You will have 7+ years’ on-the-job experience in digital and social

  • You will have worked previously as a Digital Lead or Social Lead for a client, agency or publisher (experience working with a business or finance client/brand/title is highly preferable, but not mandatory)

  • You thrive in a fluid, fast-paced and future-focused environment

  • You live and breathe digital and social platforms and performance, recognising the nuances of search vs social and understanding how and why your audience consumes content on different platforms

  • You’re collaborative by nature, but also an autonomous self-starter who isn’t afraid to throw themselves into things and find a solution

  • You’ll have an innate understanding of the sweet spot between content the audience wants to consume, and what the client’s business objectives are

  • Past employers will say you have a ‘can do’ attitude that isn’t easily thrown by a curveball and are a natural problem-solver

  • You can think both creatively and analytically, and have a clear understanding of content KPIs and measuring success on digital and social

  • You consider yourself both a leader and a doer

  • You take pride in your ability to take one piece of content and come up with multiple ways to ‘sell it’ on different platforms that will engage audiences in different ways

  • You’re just as comfortable creating content (e.g. interviewing talent or shooting a low-fi video on your phone) as you are briefing video or audio editors to get the desired result

  • You can stick to deadlines and work within a budget and client parameters

  • You have an ability to think big, without forgetting the tiny details

  • You can not only report on performance data, but translate the results into digestible insights that help inform your approach

  • You’ll have experience managing and curating an always-on content calendar for social channels

  • You’re proficient in Google and Adobe Analytics, search optimisation tools such as SEMrush, as well as social platforms LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X and TikTok and social management and listening tools such as Hootsuite

  • You communicate with clarity, knowledge and a solutions-focused mindset

  • You make multi-tasking look easy, juggling the ever-changing nature of digital, social and audio channels
