Maintenance Mechanic
Join our dynamic team in Fort Lauderdale as a skilled Maintenance Mechanic!
After a month of training on the first shift, you'll transition to the 2nd shift. We're looking for someone with a strong aptitude in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Your main responsibilities will include troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing shop equipment and machines, as well as performing preventive maintenance on welding machines, overhead cranes, shear presses, and band saws.
Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair shop equipment and machines.
Perform preventive maintenance on welding machines, overhead cranes, shear presses, and band saws.
Repair and maintain CNC machines, hydraulic machines, welding machines, overhead cranes, and other machinery.
Conduct overall facility maintenance, including working on conveyors, chains, bearings, and belt changes.
Replace hoses or valves as needed.
Assist with electrical troubleshooting up to 480 volts.
Essential Skills:
Mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic experience.
Experience performing preventive maintenance.
General electrical experience and troubleshooting.
Experience with conveyors, hoists, and hydraulic cylinders.
High School Diploma or GED.
Basic hand tools (socket set, wrenches, screwdrivers, hammers, etc.).
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Industrial electrician or industrial mechanic experience.
Experience with 120/480 electrical systems.
No certification required.
No PLC experience needed.

Work Environment:
2nd shift: Monday to Thursday from 3 pm to 12:30 am, Friday from 2 pm to 10 pm, and every other Saturday from 6 am to 12 pm.
The shop is an open-air environment covered by sheet metal, and it can be loud and dirty at times.
Candidates must have their own basic hand tools and wear steel toe boots.

- Contract to Hire position based out of Oakland Park, Florida.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
