The Center for the Arts - Direct Support Professional
The Center for the Artsis TERI's adult development center, a community-based day program located in North County San Diego that focuses on providing life quality to individuals with developmental disabilities through the lens of performing and fine arts. We need YOU to help us do that.

Your day will be filled with fun, active, engaging, and purposeful activities that help program participants through all aspects of their daily life at the center, in the community, and group home. Whether it's creating arts and crafts, singing, dancing, acting, exercising, shopping, gardening, horseback riding, laughing, or teaching a new beneficial life skill, YOU will make a Positive Impact on the life of an individual with special needs.
A typical day at The Center for the Arts will include:
This is a full-time, hands-on position, working under the direction of a supervisor providing direct training, development, and care-giving to adults in the program. Responsibilities include active engagement, program implementation, transportation (company vehicle provided), documentation, behavior modification, safety crisis response, and protecting program participant's rights, safety, health, and welfare.
Salary:$18.00 -$19.00 / hour
TERI participates in the CalGrows Program, offering you the opportunity to earn up to $6,000.00, in addition to your regular salary, while growing your career and developing your skills through free, online training courses.
Shift:Full-time, Monday-Friday 8:30am-3:30pm
We would love it if you had:
- Ability to obtain a Class B driver's license (paid for by TERI).
- High school diploma/ GEDis desirable.
- Related experience preferred but not required. We will pay you to train!
- Criminal background check required.
- Acceptable Driving History.
