Nexeo HR is seeking a Micro Lab Technician

Responsibilities

Collects,inspects,verifies,and labels Finished Product samples for testing.

Performs visual inspection of sample packages and pH check.

Facilitates disposal of microbiology laboratory waste,including tested Finished products following in-house procedure.

Assists in media preparation.

Assists in temperature monitoring of incubation rooms.

Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of laboratory and Finished Product incubation rooms following the 5S principles.

Assists in maintaining inventory supply,including collecting supply deliveries from receiving area.

Ensures testing room supplies are always available.

Advises the Team Lead of low inventory stock for the lab supplies.

Compliance with all rules & policies regarding health safety,occupational safety,environmental safety,food safety,legal regulations,company requirements etc.

Compliance with the Company's Integrated Management Systems which includes,but is not limited to Production,Quality,Food Safety & GMP.

Qualifications

College diploma in sciences or related field is asset.

At least 6 months work experience in food manufacturing,preferably in a beverage manufacturing facility.

Able to do repetitive lifting of approximately 20 lbs.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team environment.

Knowledge of PC software: Microsoft Excel and Word are preferred.

Must be able to prioritize assigned duties and demonstrate flexibility.

Ability to pass Background check and drug screen.

Pay

$21.00 Per Hour

Schedule

On Call Day Shift | 7:00 AM 7:00 PM or 9:00 AM 9:00 PM
