Description We are in search of a meticulous Billing Clerk to join our team in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. As a Billing Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate invoicing, maintaining detailed records, and handling customer inquiries related to their billing. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity and is a critical part of our team in the telecom industry.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately process customer credit applications and maintain detailed records of these transactions.
• Collaborate with other team members to resolve customer credit inquiries and ensure a smooth billing process.
• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate actions to collect delinquent payments.
• Perform data entry tasks and update customer records with payment information.
• Collaborate with the team to identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the billing process.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to financial policies and procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service when addressing customer inquiries related to billing.
• Collaborate with the team to meet deadlines and ensure accurate billing.
• Engage in continuous learning and professional development activities to stay updated on industry trends and best practices in billing. Requirements • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent educational certification.
• Possess strong data entry skills.
• Experience in a Billing Clerk role or similar is preferred.
• Familiarity with billing software and other related computer programs.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve billing discrepancies.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of standard billing procedures.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the country of employment.
