About the position: TJ Maxx is looking for associates to help support in delivering great customer service. TJ Maxx is interested in associate who are interested in growth in the company and Store. Position involves working in a fast paced environment. Positions available throughout the store and backroom. All associates are cashier trained. Hours average 12-16 hours per week, with availability for up to 25 hours, and can have as little as 8 hours per week. Salary is negotiable based on previous experience. Compute sales prices, total purchases, and receive and process cash or credit payment. Prepare merchandise for purchase or rental. Answer questions regarding the store and its merchandise. Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies regarding payment and exchanges, and security practices. Ticket, arrange, and display merchandise to promote sales. Exchange merchandise for customers and accept returns. Watch for and recognize security risks and thefts and know how to prevent or handle these situations. Clean shelves, counters, and tables.
