Robert Half Accounting Manager in Orlando, Florida

Description

We are searching for a meticulous Accounting Manager to join our team in Orlando, Florida. In this role, you will oversee the accounting operations of a manufacturing plant, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and auditing. This role offers a contract employment opportunity. This role is in-office 5 days per week.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.

• Prepare financial statements and reports, such as budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.

• Audit financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and regulations.

• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures.

• Manage the accounting staff and ensure they are properly trained and motivated.

• Conduct full cycle accounting and account reconciliation.

• Review journal entries for accuracy and completeness.

Requirements • Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role is required

• Proficiency in Full Cycle Accounting is essential

• Experience in Account Reconciliation is necessary

• Should be able to Review Journal Entries efficiently

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is preferred

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required

• Must possess strong organizational and analytical abilities

• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite is necessary

• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines is crucial

• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is required

• Must demonstrate strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team effectively

• Experience in budget preparation and financial forecasting is desirable.
