Siemens Energy Application Engineer Additive Manufacturing in Orlando, Florida
A Snapshot of Your Day
The Application Engineer for Additive Manufacturing will be responsible for engaging the full product lifecycle for internal and external customer projects running through the Orlando AM Application Center. As part of a lean team operating with a start up mindset this role can expect to be involved in all aspects of the business from developing technical solutions for AM in the sales phase, all the way through to hands on project realization and delivery of products in the execution phase.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Project Lead for internal and external customers to realize opportunities for AM
Develop final technical solutions for customer proposals in conjunction with the commercial sales offering
Work closely with other members of the ORL AMAC AM team to implement Continuous Improvement measures and execute in accordance with the AMAC QMS.
Working with technical experts from Design and R&D to ensure latest technical developments are being incorporated into customer solutions
End-to-end project execution responsibility for the manufacturing process from build simulation through to delivery
Direct day to day technician support to ensure project goals of quality and delivery are met
Communicate and share knowledge to local and global communities
What You Bring
Sc in mechanical design, or similar experience
Mid level position with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience with a minimum of 1 year in Metal AM required
Advanced skills in 3D-modeling, preferably with experience from NX and TeamCenter
An innovative and solution-oriented mindset
