Siemens Energy Service Operations Financial Analyst in Orlando, Florida

Service Operations is seeking a motivated and dedicated financial analyst to join their team in Orlando, FL. As one of the organization’s financial analysts, you will support the Field Service team by working closely with operational partners to ensure financial accuracy! A Service Operations Financial Analyst collaborates daily in the activities of revenue recognition, preparing/consolidating/analyzing financial documents, required disclosures, budgets, and key performance measures operating under contracts in which revenue is satisfied over time or at a point in time. Financial presentations for both Global and Domestic management are prepared to provide transparency around the operational performance of the organization. You focus on fostering excellent customer relationships and ensuring we deliver on key performance indicators as forecasted, in line with internal and external regulations.

This position provides phenomenal professional exposure and grants an opportunity to learn not only financial and accounting processes, but also other vital end-to-end processes of the field operations. You will have regular contact with management team members, cost center owners, and local accounting. It is an exciting and challenging, yet very rewarding role, you will never feel bored here! You ensure not only accurate financials but also make transparent the key drivers of the Service Operation organization. How You’ll Make an Impact

The specific responsibilities assigned to the position are (but not limited to):

  • Provide expert analysis and evaluations on financial, accounting, cost, and trend reports to improve the results of the organization.

  • Acts as commercial partner to the District Managers and assumes responsibility for District financial performance, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.

  • Prepares various financial reports; compiles and reviews financial plans and budgets at sophisticated levels.

  • Ensures monthly project estimate updates, works with operations to resolve and correct estimates, and enforces company revenue recognition policy.

  • Perform financial planning, forecasting, controlling, and budget consolidation, including top-down and bottom-up plans, proceed with revolving midterm planning, and ensure compliance with Siemens Energy Financial Reporting Guidelines and IFRS requirements.

  • Analyze operating results to identify areas for management attention.

  • Involved in the monthly financial forecast and annual financial plan for Field Service locations not limited to District Offices, Facilities, and Supporting roles.

  • Track key business trends and create meaningful, reusable business analytics.

  • Collaborate with Field Service Operations and assist with the training as needed on procedures that impact accounting and finance.

What You Bring (Candidate Requirements)

  • BA/BS Degree or higher required in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.

  • 5-8 years of broad Accounting/Finance experience

  • Highly proficient in SAP

  • Knowledge of analytical tools including Alteryx and Tableau is a plus.

  • Experience in project implementation, contract or order administration, or commercial management, and knowledge of construction accounting, including completed performance method application.

  • Strong financial, interpersonal, analytical, and digital literacy required.

  • History of cross-functional collaboration within Operations and Finance

  • Exhibit proven professional judgment and possess problem-solving competencies, including the ability to successfully apply sophisticated knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures in various contexts.

  • Experience in improving existing processes and approaches.

  • Possess the ability and desire to plan, control, and contribute to solving sophisticated problems.

  • Provides specialized guidance or trains support and/or professional staff.

  • Exhibits leadership and role model qualities

  • Excellent verbal and written skills in English with the ability to interact appropriately with customers and all levels of management.
