Role:

Manage National EDI (electronic data interchange) and lead the supply chain services strategy for Sysco Canada, ensuring its successful implementation. Facilitate the implementation and execution of the National EDI strategy with an aim at reducing costs and establishing a more responsive relationship with customers, suppliers, partners and Supplier conversions to Central Billing and Corporate Billing.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Champion Sysco Canada’s EDI Initiatives

  • Streamline business processes that use EDI in order to reduce company costs through automation, improved auto vouchering, the reduction of debit\credit memos, and reduced manual labor usage.

  • Lead and manage major initiatives within the constraints of scope, quality, time and cost, to deliver specified requirements and meet customer satisfaction.

  • Work with Sysco's Business Technology team in order to manage the interface between AS400, Sysco's Procurement Software (DPR), Sysco's Suppliers, and Sysco's EDI solution providers.

  • Support Sysco colleagues and suppliers with the tools and training to use Sysco Supplier Suite and Sysco's SPIRIT web portal.

  • Manage, lead and coach the EDI Team and Corporate Billing team.

  • Actively participate in related industry task forces and other eBusiness\eSupply chain initiatives to keep abreast of changing technology and processes in the supply chain industry as a representative of Sysco, as well as the foodservice

  • Represent Sysco Canada as the main business and technical contact for the ecommerce industry; communicate and negotiate Sysco Canada requirements to suppliers; build relationships with contacts to obtain buy-in to support initiatives.

  • Prepare yearly budget and monitor and control the budget throughout the year to ensure requirements are met.

  • Ensure that payments to assigned eSupply partners are processed.

  • Resolve conflicts and facilitate changes in the structure of the support chain group to ensure objective fulfillment and swift response to problems and opportunities.

  • Work with Master Data Management Canada and Sysco sites to resolve Vendor coding issues.

  • Complies with Sysco’s Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality and legality requirements are met.

  • Understands that their role is critical in creating a safe organization with minimal environmental impact and the value that brings to the organization.

  • Is willing to drive Environmental, Health and Safety performance by acting as an example and holding their team accountable to complying with EHS programs, policies, and requirements.

  • Enable, champion and embrace an inclusive culture.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements (About you):

  • Minimum of 5+ years in an information technology or supply chain role

  • Experienced leading a team is an asset.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, System Analysis or related field preferred

  • Completion of eCommerce, Supply Chain, Logistics or Business related, and Project Management courses/programs are a plus.

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, Access, Outlook, and AS400.
