The GHG Project Manager will be part of the Algeria team in Hassi Messaoud, Algeria. 

Job Description/Major Duties:

·         Manage a team of GHG Engineers/Advisors with a goal of continuous improvement and delivering GHG Reduction initiatives and projects

·         Establish Groupement Berkine’s GHG goals and Road Map for Emissions Reduction commitments

·         Manage the development and tracking of Energy and Flaring KPIs (including necessary business intelligence software tools).  Leads KPI monitoring and improvement at site.

·         Present and deliver Project charters, project progress, and new initiatives to local management and JV Partners

·         Liaise with JV Partners for improvement ideas and GHG knowledge sharing

·         Implement operational improvement opportunities and FCPs to achieve GB GHG goals

·         Site liaison with site engineers implementing CAPEX GHG projects

·         Duration of role expected > 3 years 

Qualifications

Requirements:

·         Engineering degree (Mechanical, Chemical, Petroleum or equivalent preferred)

·         A formal Project Management qualification preferred but not essential

·         At least 10 years background working in process industry, operations engineer or process engineering type role

·         Ability to analyze process trends, conduct root causes analyses, coordinate work among multidisciplinary teams

·         Proven ability to establish effective new systems and processes in an established operation

·         Arabic and/or French language skills would be a great advantage.
