Aerotek Shipping Clerk 21-24/hr in Painesville, Ohio

Job Title: Shipping Clerk

Shift: This role is a first shift position, working from 7am-3:30pm , however, these hours may change as the seasons and work come in. The attire required includes jeans and steel-toe boots. The facility is on the smaller side, currently located in Mentor, but we will be moving to a new building in Painesville next year.

Job Description

As a Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for handling all important documents such as advanced shipping notices, pick slips, bills of lading etc. You will use software to track, check, prioritize, and route shipments, as well as direct the flow of packages from preparation to shipment. Part of your role will involve inspecting labels, barcodes, and other features of completed orders. You will also collaborate with various departments like production and purchasing to optimize processes. Your job will require you to resolve issues regarding shipped orders, ensure compliance to legal regulations and company policies, and report to management on activities and issues.

Must have strong computer skills working with SAP/ FedEx/ UPS and international shipping

  • Employees are encouraged to use all vacation time, but unused vacation time is paid out at end of year. Unused vacation time is not paid out if employee is terminated or quits.

  • We have Medical Mutual insurance. We have an H S A plan and a plan with a $500 deductible. The company pays 70% of the premium. The employee pays 30% of the premiums with pretax dollars. If the employee chooses the H S A plan, the company contributes $100 per month for single, $200 per month for family to an H S A account.

  • We also have a $15,000 life insurance policy. Premiums are very small. Employee pays 30% of premium.

  • We offer dental, disability, and vision at employee’ s option. Employee pays 100% of premiums.

  • Our retirement plan is a SEP IRA. Employees are eligible after 3 years. Owners contribute to employee accounts based on how well the year went. Contributions have been between 3%-25% of wages.
