We are hiring an Instructor for our growing team! The Instructor at the South Eastern Beauty Academy is responsible for meeting continuing education requirements, maintaining an active state license, preparing, administering & grading both daily assignment and weekly exams in a timely manner. The instructor is also responsible for maintaining an accurate and current knowledge of all subject materials.
Key Responsibilities:
Keeping daily attendance
Running weekly attendance summary report, taking appropriate SEBA policy measures when students are not in compliance.
Preparing, administering & grading both daily assignment and weekly exams in a timely manner, giving feedback whenever possible; both heory and practical.
Inputting grades into FAME.
Running weekly academic progress reports, taking appropriate SEBA policy measures when students are not in compliance
Organizing & preparing for each class presentation prior to beginning of class
Following lesson plans provided by SEBA's curriculum , using all teaching aids and handouts provided unless deviations are approved
Assign leadership tasks
Preparing & maintaining academic: files for each student
Preparing for and c:onduc:ting new student orientation according to SEBA policies regarding campus security
Preparing & conducting mid-term surveys & exit reviews
Staying in contact with students after graduation; documenting results of KBC Exam results & employment placement
Key Experience and Education Needed:
Must hold a current, valid Kentucky State Instructor's License.
Be of good moral character with a passion to mentor. Students .
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Maintain a thorough, accurate, & current knowledge of the subject matter.
Inspire pride in workmanship & maintain a professional attitude.
Be fair and impartial in relationships with students.
Stimulate and encourage students to be creative and critical thinkers .
Practice active listening skills .
Use clear & concise communication.
