We are hiring an Instructor for our growing team! The Instructor at the South Eastern Beauty Academy is responsible for meeting continuing education requirements, maintaining an active state license, preparing, administering & grading both daily assignment and weekly exams in a timely manner. The instructor is also responsible for maintaining an accurate and current knowledge of all subject materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Keeping daily attendance

  •  Running weekly attendance summary report, taking appropriate SEBA policy measures when students are not in compliance.

  • Preparing, administering & grading both daily assignment and weekly exams in a timely manner, giving feedback whenever possible; both heory and practical. 

  • Inputting grades into FAME. 

  • Running weekly academic progress reports, taking appropriate SEBA policy measures when students are not in compliance

  • Organizing & preparing for each class presentation prior to beginning of class

  •  Following lesson plans provided by SEBA's curriculum , using all teaching aids and handouts provided unless deviations are approved

  • Assign leadership tasks

  • Preparing & maintaining academic: files for each student

  • Preparing for and c:onduc:ting new student orientation according to SEBA policies regarding campus security

  • Preparing & conducting mid-term surveys & exit reviews

  •  Staying in contact with students after graduation; documenting results of KBC Exam results & employment placement

    Key Experience and Education Needed:

  • Must hold a current, valid Kentucky State Instructor's License. 

  • Be of good moral character with a passion to mentor. Students .

    KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: 

  • Maintain a thorough, accurate, & current knowledge of the subject matter. 

  • Inspire pride in workmanship & maintain a professional attitude. 

  • Be fair and impartial in relationships with students. 

  • Stimulate and encourage students to be creative and critical thinkers . 

  • Practice active listening skills . 

  • Use clear & concise communication.
