We are searching for a Data Management/Configuration Management Analyst to support the Presidential Helicopters Program Office in Patuxent River, Maryland. This role will Serve as the Assistant Data Manager for the Presidential Helicopter Program providing technical leadership and expertise in the area of Data Management. The position requires an in-depth knowledge of program management and the acquisition process as well as technical expertise related to the FAR, DFAR and DoD instruction 5010.12-M Procedures for Acquisition and Management of Technical Data. The incumbent must have the capability to interact with a large team representing diverse technical disciplines. The VXX and In-service IPT typically include team members from The White House Military Office, HMX-1, NAVAIR HQ, NAWCAD, and the Prime Contractor. The incumbent will report directly to the PMA 274 Baseline Configuration Manager

Functional Description: Collects, organizes and interprets data relating to aircraft and product programs. Maintains configuration control of acquisition products and data. Tracks configuration changes. Coordinates and supports development of Engineering Change Proposals. Applies government-instituted processes for documentation, change control management and data management.

The Data Management/Configuration Management Analyst Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Support for a NAVAIR Program by identifying, controlling, documenting, validating, verifying, auditing, reporting, and recording the functional and physical characteristics of the VH-3D, VH-60N, Presidential Helicopters, T58-GE-400B engines, T700-GE-40 I engines, Software, Aircraft Maintenance Trainers/Courseware, Operational Trainer/Simulators/Courseware, Unique Communication, Navigation Equipment, all Peculiar Support Equipment (PSE), and System Integration Labs and Master System Benches throughout each item's life­cycle.

  • The Data Management/Configuration Management Analyst is responsible for supporting Functional Configuration Audits (FCA), Physical Configuration Audits (PCA) for both hardware and software Configuration Items (CIs); overall management of the configuration management repository and identification of configuration items. The CM Analyst will review Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), schedule, organize, support, and facilitate Configuration Review Boards (CRB) and Decentralized Configuration Control Boards (DCCB).

  • Additionally, they provide traceability and consistency for the product's performance and functional/physical attributes within the requirements of the designs and operational use. Configuration Identification of hardware and software, Configuration Change Management, recording and reporting change implementation in Configuration Status Accounting, and Configuration Verification and Audits on hardware and software is maintained throughout the products life-cycle.

  • Lead and participates in Data Requirement Review Boards and Technical Reviews

  • Conduct comprehensive analyses of all CDRLs, and PID Packages

  • Develop and maintain CDRL Metrics

  • Conduct initial and periodic CDRL training, continuously review NAVAIR DM policies and procedures and ensure they are adhered throughout the program

  • Provide insight to the DM program and policy improvement strategy that maximize program efficiency

    Educational Requirements: This position requires a Bachelor's Degree or allowable substitutions. Allowable substitutions include an Associate's Degree plus two years of additional experience or four years of additional experience.

    Experience Requirements: This position requires three to ten years of experience.

    Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
