Your Role and Responsibilities

Our ecosystem Marketers have a deep understanding of our partners: how they sell, how they make money, and what their priority offerings are. A critical part of our Marketing organization, they drive partner-led demand motions to scale business growth for IBM's technology offerings including hardware and software.

The Ecosystem Co-Marketing Program Manager identifies and scales innovative ways to drive strategic demand within different segments of the existing or potential partner base. The target market is Japan. You will design outreach that marries corporate initiatives, market and/or partner-specific opportunities with the value of the motions to maximize IBM's relevance and partner interest. The Ecosystem Co-Marketing Program Manager is constantly asking 'how do we get more partners to want to build on, add services to or resell our products?' Responsibilities include:

  • Developing successful and unique joint go-to-market plans to help partners achieve their sales growth.

  • Supporting major local distributors to recruit new IBM sales partners or IBM embedded providers effectively.

  • Managing and tracking budget usage and performance.

  • Collaborates cross-functionally to ensure quality and alignment with broader plans

  • Manage relationships with IBM Japan partners and even internal stakeholders to be familiar with the market trend, demand, and even the market insight for further sales growth

  • Report Japan marketing leaders on up to date business status and insight

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Experience in Marketing

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Japanese and English

  • Experience using various tools and data analytics programs to monitor and measure activities (e.g., CMC, Tableau dashboards, PPS data, GPM)

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • B2B partner marketing experience: understands partners, and the varying levels of marketing skills and resources they can deploy

  • Experience in campaign design and delivery

  • Experimentative mindset - works quickly to pilot, succeed/fail fast and scale what works
