Brooklyn Bowl Philadelphia is the ultimate night out, with its groundbreaking integration of premiere music, 24 lanes of bowling, 2 bars, featuring locally crafted beers, and food by the acclaimed Blue Ribbon restaurant group. Located in the heart of the historic Fishtown neighborhood, adjacent to The Fillmore and The Punchline in what has become a burgeoning entertainment district, the venue is slated to open Q4, 2021, and will be Brooklyn Bowl’s fourth location.

Job Description:We are seeking a Food Server to become an integral part of our team at Brooklyn Bowl Philadelphia! The Food Server is responsible for all stages of the meal, such as menu clarification, placing orders, and making certain orders are prepared correctly as well as presented in accordance with departmental specifications. They present the food and beverage check and take payment and are ultimately responsible for the appearance of their station (meaning proper set up for the meal being served, and cleanliness). They must treat the guest with the utmost courtesy and respect in addition to meeting their needs and requests so as to ensure an enjoyable experience and future patronage.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all stages of food and beverage service in the restaurant, bowling area, bar or other areas throughout the venue• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the dining or service area to meet departmental standards• Greet and make all guests feel welcome• Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely fashion• Ensure the guest has an enjoyable experience• Must possess in-depth knowledge of all menu items and specials, including ingredients, preparation methods, etc.• Ensures appropriate utensils and condiments are present for the meal being served• Checks all tables to ascertain guest needs. Remains attentive to the needs and requests of the guest• Ensures that all phases of the meal are carried out appropriately, from the time the guests are seated until their departure• Attention to special requests and relates all information to kitchen and management in detail• Obtains food and drink orders from guests. Makes appropriate suggestions and follows all set service standards and sequence of service• Collect and process payment• Proficient on use of POS system to input orders accurately and efficiently• Communicate any problem or guest concern to management in a timely manner• Knowledge of and compliance with Health Code and Alcohol Regulations• Perform other duties as assigned• Work together as part of a team to provide the best overall guest experience.

Qualifications:• High School graduate or equivalent preferred• Valid Food Worker / Health Card required• Valid RAMP certification required• Previous experience in customer service, food service, restaurant or other related fields• Ability to build rapport with guests• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment• Must possess basic math and reading skills• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills• Ability to become familiar with menu, preparation procedures and prices• Ability to work closely and efficiently with others• Previous experience working in a high-volume restaurant• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays• Will be carrying a trey ranging up to approximately 20-35 pounds• Will be moving throughout the restaurant, work area, or venue during the entire shift• Will be working in an environment with loud music and crowds for extended periods of time• Will be standing or staying in a stationary position throughout entire shift
