Honeywell Advanced Test Engineer in Phoenix, Arizona

You will report directly to our Test Engineering Manager and you'll work out of our Deer Valley, AZ location on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the development and success of our aerospace products by:

  • Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to define test requirements and specifications for aerospace products

  • Designing and developing Level 1/Level 2 end item test equipment and integrate on the hardware to validate the functionality and performance of aerospace products

  • Executing tests and analyzing test results to identify defects and areas for improvement in aerospace products

  • Providing recommendations for product enhancements and process improvements for aerospace products

  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements for aerospace products

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define test requirements and specifications for aerospace products

  • Design and develop rack stack ATE using COTS equipment, adapters, cable set, test cases and test scripts to validate the functionality and performance of aerospace products

  • Execute tests and analyze test results to identify defects and areas for improvement in aerospace products

  • Provide recommendations for product enhancements and process improvements for aerospace products

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements for aerospace products

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization

MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as computer science, electrical engineering, or related field

  • 5+ years of experience in test engineering or related role

  • Strong knowledge of test methodologies, tools, and best practices

  • Experience in designing ATEs and executing test cases and test scripts

  • Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) as well as multithreaded environments

  • Experience with creating technical documents and developing Test requirements from System requirements along with experience in DO-178, DO-254, DO-160.

  • Experience with hardware/software integration and working knowledge of general-purpose test equipment is desirable.

  • Experience in ClearCase/ClearQuest, DOORS, BITBUCKET

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
