GCS partners with small businesses and corporate clients to help them manage business expenses and make large purchases through proprietary payment solutions and expense management tools. GCS is committed to service and innovation and offers our commercial card members a wide range of differentiated solutions.

The US Small and Mid-Size Enterprise ("SME") team of 1100 Sales and Account Development professionals as well as a niche Underwriting Advisory team is responsible for acquisition, growth and retention of US companies up to $300M in annual revenues. By offering a suite of payment and lending products, American Express helps businesses of all sizes do more business, from everyday business spending, to travel, cross border payments and business financing.

The Commercial Effectiveness & Governance Team is responsible for overseeing the overall quality and compliance within Global Commercial Services, US SME. The Analyst is responsible for providing essential compliance monitoring, reporting, on-boarding, communication, and enablement support to drive sales effectiveness for US SME. This position will be based in Sunrise, FL or Phoenix, AZ and reports directly to the Manager of Commercial Effectiveness & Governance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the collection and consolidation of compliance data from multiple sources and segments

  • Create and manage monthly and quarterly reports

  • Perform data analysis to identify trends and opportunities

  • Develop and share actionable insights backed by data and analytics to improve business performance

  • Collaborate with internal/external partners to support the development and execution of compliance workstreams

  • Manage and execute on a diverse set of business transformation initiatives

  • Seek and utilize external perspective to inform strategic recommendations to enhance frameworks

  • Collaborate with the Leadership Team on enhancements based upon trending compliance results

  • Work collaboratively across a team to achieve shared goals.

  • Provide regular insights and learnings to leadership and peers.

  • Manage ad hoc projects as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word required

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize data from multiple sources, derive insights, and formulate recommendations

  • Ability to quickly build relationships and partner across cross-functional teams

  • Ability to multi-task, operate autonomously, and prioritize effectively

  • Self-starter who thrives in a high-paced, rapidly changing, dynamic environment

  • Naturally curious problem solver, challenges status quo and seeks out new, innovative solutions

  • Technical ability to learn new technology and identify ways to improve current processes

  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate and influence at all levels, both written and verbal

  • Ability to act with diplomacy and integrity with handling of confidential and sensitive issues in an appropriate manner

  • Flexibility to work across time zones and travel on occasion up to 10%

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous compliance and/or project experience preferred

  • GCS experience/knowledge is preferred

Qualifications

Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually bonus benefits
