DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Field Service Power Generation Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution Business in (Avondale, AZ)

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
· Completing repair activities on generators or components
· Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner
· Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
· Maintain detailed records of service
· Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
· Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
· Maintain own tools
RESPONSIBILITIES
In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:
· Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities.
· High Voltage / Low Voltage experience.
· Capable of electrical repair and maintenance with minimal supervision – hands on exposure to working on power generation products.
(Entry):
· Primarily engaged in preventative maintenance or basic repairs/diagnostics on generators.
· Basic Diesel Engine experience.
· Requires direct supervision and review of workmanship quality.
(Intermediate):
· Advanced troubleshooting and repairs of generators, transfer switches, and auxiliary components.
· Startup and repair of bypass transfer switch.
· Mentor junior technicians including technical support and documentation.
(Advanced):
· Setup, troubleshoot and repair basic paralleling generator systems.
· Understanding switchgear schematics.
· Able to train Entry/Intermediate Technicians/Mechanics.
QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires a CDL (Med-Card) and will be a part of the FMCSA pool. We will also be required to complete a DMV driving report for this position.
A current valid CDL is required for this role.
This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free of major violations
This role is subject to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) drug and alcohol testing requirements and ongoing random drug and alcohol testing
This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical
This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use
Federal law requires operators of commercial vehicles to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of age
