As an Payroll Manager, you will report to the Director of Payroll/HRIS.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee end to end payroll processing, including salary calculations, deductions and benefit administration.

  • Conduct regular payroll audits to ensure compliance with labor laws, tax regulations and statutory requirements.

  • Main accurate employee records, including attendance, leaves and personal information.

  • Collaborate effectively with HR, Finance, Operations and other departments to gather and validate employee/payroll information.

  • Oversee and process all new hire, terminations, promotions and other employee status changes in the payroll system to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

  • Manage a department of 6 which includes payroll administrators as well as Payroll Data Reps.

  • Monitor and resolve payroll discrepancies, investigating and resolving issues promptly and accurately.

  • Address employee inquiries and concerns related to payroll by providing excellent customer service and support.

  • Maintain confidentiality and data security standards for all payroll related information.

  • Stay up to date on payroll regulations, tax laws and industry trends, implementing any necessary changes to ensure compliance and best practice.

  • Perform additional tasks as requested by leadership

What You'll Have

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years’ experience in payroll management.

  • In-depth knowledge of payroll processes, labor laws, taxation and statutory compliance.

  • Experience in handling payroll audits, inspections, and compliance assessments.

  • Excellent understanding of financial principals and ability to reconcile payroll with financial records.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing complex payroll calculation data.

  • Good organizational and time management skills to meet strict payroll deadlines and manage multiple priorities.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain a high level of professionalism.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically to resolve issues efficiently.

  • High level of integrity and demonstrate ability to handle confidential information with sensitivity and maintain a high level of discretion.

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills and proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.

  • Ability to accomplish assignments without need of close supervision and be diplomatic in interpersonal dealings.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant professional certification in payroll management such as CPP.

  • Knowledge of multi state payroll processing.

  • SAP Knowledge highly preferred

  • Success Factor knowledge highly preferred

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices related to payroll.

  • Ability to adapt to changing payroll regulations and implement necessary updates.

Work Environment

  • Work is performed in a typical indoor office environment

  • Flexibility to work different schedules and stay late with little or no notice

  • Must be able to read documents, use a computer, communicate verbally and in writing

  • Mobility required within an office, warehouse and construction site environments

  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
