Robert Half Medical Malpractice and Insurance Defense Associate Attorney in Phoenix, Arizona

Description

We are seeking a Litigation Associate to join our client's team in Phoenix, Arizona, in the field of medical malpractice and insurance defense. This role entails working closely with partners and associates at a boutique law firm to provide top-notch defense representation to their clients. The Associate will be involved in case strategy and management, gaining hands-on experience at hearings, depositions, and trial.

Responsibilities:

• Proactively and professionally communicate with clients to provide updates on case progress and address any questions or concerns.

• Conduct research and investigation of medical records and evidence to further defense strategy and identify strengths and weaknesses in a case.

• Manage the discovery and disclosure process, including drafting and responding to interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admissions.

• Develop case strategy, participate in negotiations, take and defend depositions, work with experts, and prepare cases for trial.

• Conduct legal research and prepare motions relating to all phases of litigation, including post-trial motions.

• Exhibit a strong desire to gain experience handling client interviews, hearings, depositions, and trials.

• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication and the ability to accept and learn from suggested changes.

• Show strong creative, analytical, and problem-solving abilities and the confidence to offer new ideas to the litigation team.

• Demonstrate commitment to providing high-quality legal representation and client advocacy.

• Manage accounts payable and bookkeeping functions, and budget processes.

Requirements • The candidate must have at least 2 years of relevant experience in an associate role.

• Proficiency in using Database is required.

• Skills in eBay operations and transactions are necessary.

• Familiarity with EO/IR systems is a must.

• Expertise in Facebook Insights and Instagram for business usage is desired.

• Knowledge of About Time software is needed.

• Proficiency in Accounting Functions is required.

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary.

• Ability to perform Bookkeeping Functions is a must.

• Familiarity with Budget Processes is desired.

• Experience in dealing with Medical Malpractice cases is required.
