Administrative Assistant II
Job Summary
Performs administrative assistant support work of moderate complexity.
Essential Functions
Incumbent will be responsible for higher level office support functions. These could include, but are not limited to:
- Provide direct administrative support to contribute to the management of lab and office. Maintain personnel files, including CV, conflict of interest forms, organize meetings and special notification and updates as necessary.
- Incumbent will coordinate editorial endeavors, maintain calendar and provide general administrative support.
- Coordinate with all internal and external funding contacts along with lab manager to keep track of expenses and provide monthly reports on budget and expenditures.
- Assist with grant writing and report preparation. Will assist in providing supplementary information during grant application and budget preparation.
- Arrange accommodations and prepare itineraries for travel; prepare and submit travel expense reports.
- Must be able to work independently to solve problems; review correspondence and respond appropriately to issues that need to be addressed.
Physical Effort
This position is primarily sedentary. Minimal physical effort is required for this position. There may be some walking between office and collaborator's laboratories
