DIRECTOR OF POLICY RESEARCH - Institute for Cyber Law, Policy, and Security

Leads development and implementation efforts to engage in public and academic spheres regarding legal, social, economic, and political implications of existing and emerging technologies, with a particular focus on AI, cybersecurity, and digital information. Develops policy proposals and related research, crafts communications, and coordinates projects and programs.

Conducts research and analysis of international, federal, and state cyber-related legal and policy issues.

Composes communications such as op-eds, speeches, and related publications for a general audience.

Develops and maintains relationships with external organizations and experts and attends various events on behalf of the University.

Develops and maintains relationships with internal University stakeholders.

Assists with coordinating institute projects, including conferences and workshops.

This position requires minimal supervision; work is expected to be done autonomously. The successful applicant exercises discretion and independent judgment in significant matters; possesses advanced problem-solving skills; and leads the work of others, but does not have direct management responsibility for staff, students, or temps.

Job Summary
