Reference #: 22623869 Genesis10 is currently seeking a Facilities Engineer with our consumer finance lender firm client. This is a 6 month + contract with right to hire position located in Pittsburgh, PA. This position will require to be onsite 5 days per week. Summary: The facilities engineering role is responsible for the management of all critical systems infrastructure supporting data centers to include Generators, Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), Uninterrupted Power Systems (UPS), Cooling CRAC units, center Fire Suppression systems, leak detection and critical systems monitoring/alerting platforms. This includes support vendor identification, onboarding, scheduling, quarterly and annual maintenance oversight, change control for associated maintenance and repairs, incident management for failed systems, root cause analysis and associated repairs as needed.

Project management will be required for any end-of-life replacement projects. Supporting emergency, standard, and maintenance operational procedures (EOP, SOP, MOP's) will be required for all critical infrastructure and training of backup facilities and IT personnel will be included for all local and remote sites.

The role will include the use of on-prem Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) solutions and providing the foundation for servicing of our critical infrastructure. Key to success for this role is to maintain a detailed understanding of the infrastructure alarms, thresholds and power calculations as standardized within the NLYTE platform. The role will require soft skills and a consultative mindset to support the mediation of differing positions and build cross team consensus.

The candidate should have a comprehensive knowledge of critical infrastructure i.e. UPS, generators, Client, HVAC, and fire systems.

Essential Functions: Perform site inspections and monitor the equipment alarms. Oversee all critical systems preventative maintenance for on-site infrastructure with supporting vendors. Manage repairs, corrective maintenance and installation projects. Schedule vendors for contracted services quarterly and annually as required per manufacture recommendations. Create and manage EOPs, SOPs, MOPs and scripts for all changes and train backups as needed. Respond to on-site incidents and acts and escalates as required. Manage all changes through the ServiceNow change management process. Investigate HVAC, Generator, ATS, UPS and Fire Suppression service requests. Owner's representative on infrastructure projects, construction. 24/7 Operational Support - Flexibility to work any assigned shift, off-schedule, respond to emergencies, etc. Previous data center / critical environment experience. Comply with all company policies regarding safety and ethics. Drives critical systems process and procedure in the Facilities and DTD organization. Develop and review EOPs, MOPs and SOPs Ensures correct and on time implementation of systems maintenance, repairs and removal/installation projects Responsible for all technical aspects of facility operations including power, HVAC, and Fire Suppression systems Identification and management of supporting critical systems maintenance/repair vendors. Provides oversight and technical support to remote centers and supporting facilities staff. Provides technical support to insure successful operations and uptime for all data center, MDF and IDF rooms. Handles all facility issues encountered during day to day operations to ensure 100% uptime for facility operations. Education and Experience: Requires 5+ or more years of Facility Operations and management experience in the Data center industry. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field Excellent verbal and written communications skills Strong skills in presentation and proposal design Strong knowledge of data center industry infrastructure such as UPS, Generators, and Mechanical systems Previous data center / critical environment xperience. Comply with all company policies regarding safety and ethics. Ability to multitask and meet multiple deadlines. Strong Supervisory responsibilities needed with this position. Capable of lifting 50 lbs. and are agile in manual dexterity (climb, stoop, etc.). Experienced with vendor management onboarding processes. Able to work closely across multiple companies to ensure data center critical services operations are efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively executed. Help coordinate building maintenance and refresh activities related to critical systems maintenance, break fix, and EOL replacement activities. Summary of Qualifications: Proficient in use of MS 365 applications. Effective in understanding critical systems process details and EOP, MOP & SOP templates. Ability to manage multiple short- and long-term project tasks in parallel within timeframes assigned based upon systems and project deadlines. Assist in identification of technical impact and task/schedule implications for project planning purposes. Ability to work as a team member to assist in the interpretation of needs and translation of needs into executable operations plans. Problem solving capabilities and ability to focus on root cause. Ability to effectively communicate with others and to assimilate and understand business and technical information, in a manner consistent with essential job functions. Ability to compose communications, written or verbal, to fit the needs of the audience. Strong organizational skills; critical thinker and the ability to multi-task is essential. Ability to interface with team members in a professional and understandable manner. Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
