Reference #: REQ02120 Job Responsibilities Represent Koppers to sawmill owners and managers as the crosstie field and yard buyer Build strong relationships with area vendors to ensure a continuous supply and fair pricing for crossties. Yard management of a Koppers rail yard located in the area This will require purchasing and grading crossties, inventory control, car loading, unloading trucks, minor maintenance of yard equipment. Heavy equipment operation Boom Truck Wheel Loader Could require travel to and from sawmills to purchase raw materials. Travel at times will require overnight stays.

Qualifications High school diploma, BS in Forestry preferred 3 years' experience required in construction, heavy equipment, or related industry; Sawmill or other forest product purchasing experience preferred Proficiency with computer spreadsheets preferred Knowledge of railroad tie specifications preferred Customer or vendor-facing experience preferred Strong verbal communication skills Ability to set priorities, analyze problems, work independently, and manage time
