University of Pittsburgh Research Assistant Professor in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

The Department of Psychology at the University of Pittsburgh announces a non-tenure track position at the Research Assistant Professor level. The position will be fully funded by federal research grants. We seek an individual with research interests in the development of affective disorders in adolescents, such as anxiety, depression, and suicidality. The candidate also should have a background in developmental psychology and/or clinical psychology, a demonstrated track record of scholarly publications, and an interest in conducting research working with the intersection of neurobiological risk factors and social experiences, especially experiences with peers and social media as well as parents, and how these influence day-to-day emotional experience measured using ecological momentary assessment.

The person filling this position will complement the current strengths of the Psychology Department and partnerships with other units, which include ongoing research in the Department of Psychiatry.

The Psychology Department (http://www.psychology.pitt.edu) is committed to excellence in research and mentoring at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. The interdisciplinary nature of psychological science is reflected by faculty, staff, and student research interests, collaborations, and training opportunities.

Eligible candidates will have a minimum of a Ph.D. in clinical, developmental, or school psychology (or related discipline) and preferably 1-2 years of post-doctoral experience working in clinical psychology.
