We're seeking a future team member in the role ofApplication Oracle DBA Managerto join ourProduction Servicesteam. This role is Lake Mary, FL & Pittsburgh, PA, and will work a Hybrid schedule (3 days per week in-office required).Candidates must reside within a commutable distance of these work locations, as we are unable to accommodate 100% virtual work arrangements.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

Lead and manage: Assess, motivate and priority your DBA and there career path with BNY with over 10 years' experience in such a role

Primary Level 1 Support Application DBA who will closely work with various Application Teams participating in code deployments, debugging issue by working closely with development teams and addressing vulnerabilities in a timely manner to be more resilient.

Oracle Database Management: Manage and administer Oracle 19c Databases within the application environment, ensuring their optimal performance and availability.

Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team members, application development leads, and stakeholders to understand requirements, resolve issues, and support critical business applications.

Motivation and Cultural Change: Act as a motivator and cultural change agent, inspiring the team to embrace best practices, innovation, and continuous improvement in database operations.

Performance Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve performance issues by conducting thorough analysis, recommending appropriate changes to optimize performance, and collaborating with application teams to implement these changes.

Oracle Tools Understanding: Use Oracle tools effectively to monitor, manage, and troubleshoot Oracle databases and related components Versions 19c and above, OEM / SQL Developer / TOAD

Knowledge of Monitoring Technologies: Familiarity with monitoring technologies such as Splunk, App Dynamics, and Moog to proactively track and manage database performance, diagnose issues, and recommend improvements.

Collaboration with Application Development Lead: Collaborate closely with application development leads to design and support critical business applications, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance with the database.

24x7 Production Support: Willingly participate in a rotating 24x7 production support schedule, promptly addressing and resolving critical database issues to minimize downtime impact.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Application Oracle DBA Manager with 10+ years of experience. Possessing excellent communication skills and a proven ability to motivate and drive cultural change. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of Oracle 19c Databases and be familiar with Oracle tools, Splunk, App Dynamics, and various monitor technologies such as Moog. They should also have experience working closely with application development leads in designing and supporting critical business applications. Additionally, the candidate should be skilled in troubleshooting performance issues and recommending changes to app ication teams. This position requires a willingness to participate in a 24x7 production support rotation. Knowledge of how AI can be used to increase work throughput is also an added advantage.
