Robert Half Financial Analyst in Placentia, California

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Financial Analyst in Placentia, California. This role is centered around supporting the financial analysis and modeling, budgeting process, consolidation of financial system, KPI creation, and variance analysis of company performance. The selected candidate will ensure compliance with GAAP accounting practices and procedures, work with the Controller on all accounting and finance matters, and propose changes to policies and procedures to achieve best practices in accounting operations.

Responsibilities:

• Support the financial analysis and modeling activities to guide strategic decision-making.

• Participate in the budgeting process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Work on the consolidation of the financial system, making certain that all financial data is captured and reported correctly.

• Create and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor and analyze the company's performance.

• Conduct variance analysis of company performance to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities.

• Maintain compliance with GAAP accounting practices and procedures.

• Ensure accurate and timely completion of consolidated and regional financial statements.

• Recognize revenue and expense in accordance with accounting standards.

• Reserve and accrue financial resources as per company's policies and procedures.

• Work closely with the Controller on all accounting and finance matters.

• Propose changes to policies and procedures to achieve best practices in accounting operations. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Financial Analyst role or similar

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with CapEx budgeting and analysis

• Knowledge and practical use of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems

• Familiarity with ERP Solutions

• Experience with Great Plains (GPAC) software

• Proficiency in About Time software for project management

• Solid understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience with Budget Processes in a corporate setting

• Ability to manage Expense Reporting

• Broad knowledge of Finance principles and practices

• Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Willingness to continue detail oriented development.
