Transportation Manager

We are looking for a Transportation Manager, to manage and coordinate all transportation activities within the Plainfield, IN location. You will be a valued team member responsible for all transportation activities at the site, which includes internal fleet, dedicated carriers, LTL and contract carriers. Key responsibilities include transportation management (50% of the job), management of personnel (25%), and DOT compliance and safety (25%), and other duties as assigned.

Hours: 7:30 am - 4:00 pm during off peak season and 7:00 am - 5:00 pm during peak season (March - July)

Requirements:

• Education : High School Diploma/GED Required.
• Supervisory Experience : 3 years of experience managing people
• Leadership : 1 years of experience with DOT operations and compliance
• Technology : proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, smartphones, and other hardware/software
• Certifications : Current driver's license.

Preferred:

• Education : Associates or Bachelors degree in Agriculture, Business, Engineering Sciences, Supply Chain, or related field
• Supervisory Experience : 5 years or more experience managing people
• Regulations/Compliance : practical experience working with DOT regulations, EHandS programs, and other compliance/safety procedures.
• Certifications : CDL-Class A License
