Insight Global Mechanical Engineer in Plainville, Connecticut
Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join a full-service Engineering Consulting company located in Plainville CT or Portsmouth, NH. The role is 100% on-site and the ideal candidate will be on-site 5 days a week. This person should have 7+ years of experience with an engineering consulting or design firm and hold their LPE or EIT. The Mechanical Engineer handles many project management duties including: leading teams in preparation of engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for engineering, fire protection and plumbing disciplines. They will also manage overall financial and technical performance of projects by implementing the companies project lifecycle management system.
Responsibilities also include:
- Maintain and grow established client relationships by becoming an indispensable partner to clients both internal and external
- Serve as the subject matter expert for mechanical engineering, plumbing and fire protection systems
- Serve as a mentor to engineering and designers within the MEP team
- Develop cost estimates and proposals for new work
- Manage engineering design and build projects from conceptual design through construction

Skills and Requirements
Licensed Professional Engineer or EIT
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Eligible to work at aerospace or defense companies with export restrictions - A background in HVAC or Plumbing
CAD and Revit experience
Prior management experience
Excellent communication skills null
