Aimbridge Hospitality Director Restaurant & Bars Training & Task Force in Plano, Texas
Job Summary
The Director of Training & Task Force will be responsible for the strategy for on property learning across all restaurant and bar operations.In addition they will manage the task force team operations to deploy on property assistance and learning resources. Responsible for developing the strategic vision and deployment of relevant role-based content across all restaurant and bar operations. Leading the design development and execution of programs and initiatives that drive best-in-class restaurant operations and ultimately elevate the guest experience. Managing a team of task force managers including both FOH and BOH team members. Will also act as an interim restaurant and bar leader on property as needed.
Responsibilities
QUALIFICATIONS:
Typically requires a bachelor's degree and at least 6 years of experience.
Leads and directs the work of other employees and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring performance management and termination. Supervision is often provided through a team of subordinate managers and/or directors.
Collaborates with other members of the executive management team to align departmental strategy or direction with the overall goals of the organization.
Develops policies practices and procedures that have a significant impact on the organization.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead the creation internally and with 3rd party providers of role-based blended learning solutions for restaurant and bar operations. Content to include eLearning gamification efforts video job aids manuals and classroom-based training.
Define and develop the strategy to build restaurant and bar leadership talent to the next level. In doing so partner with divisional leadership on programs for cross promotion.
Work with the VPs and Above Property Operations to deploy management curriculum program for restaurant and bar operations support company strategic initiatives and rollouts through training development and implementation.
Evaluate and track effectiveness of training offerings through time to competency retention and restaurant and bar performance.
Interact with various on property departments and key stakeholders to achieve a high level of ongoing on property restaurant and bar training tools. This includes developing train the trainer programs.
Lead the training and task force team. Including assigning property support as requested managing task force human resources functions by evaluating causes of turnover steps for motivating employees implementing programs that focus on employee development and retention and conducting employee meetings.
Assign resources during a property transition period with focus on proper staffing tools to do the job and expense controls. This includes working with property leadership to interview hire train and recommendation for changes in practices at the property.
Assist property leaders in understanding how to Adhere to all franchise training procedures standards and regulations to assure each restaurant and bar operation complies to brand specific restaurant and bar training procedures and standards.
Assist in planning and executing new restaurant and bar openings including training matrix development resource allocation and leading onsite training modules.
Ensures restaurants and bars are following all federal state and local laws including Sanitation Health Department Alcohol Commission OSHA EEOC and Wage Hour laws
