The Classified Infrastructure Services department provides expertise to programs in Networking, High Performance Computing, and Storage & Data Protection. As a Network Administrator, you will bring enhanced knowledge level of Cisco devices and commands to support multiple program Local Area Networks (LANs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs).

What You Will Do:

  • As part of our Network Engineering team located at our Plano, TX and Dallas, TX locations, you will Apply Technical Security Controls to ensure network devices maintain compliance with Cybersecurity requirements.

  • Perform initial configuration and deployment of new network devices and hardware refreshes of existing network devices

  • Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues with minimal assistance.

  • May require occasional domestic travel, as well as local travel to our other North Texas sites which include: Richardson, McKinney, and Dallas.

What You Will Learn:

  • Apply your Networking skills in support of multiple Classified environments at our Plano, TX site.

  • Work with a small team to support the Network Engineering requirements across multiple US Government programs for an entire site.

  • Working collaboratively with other onsite Digital Technology functional teams to ensure seamless execution on classified program requirements.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree, with a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience or in lieu of degree, typically requires 6 total years of relevant experience. (AS degree with 4 years’ experience also will be considered).

  • Experience as network administrator of classified Cisco-based Local Area Network (LAN) with multiple network devices.

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Effective customer service skills, including oral and written communications.

  • Strongly prefer CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent 8570 IAT Level II or 8140 Intermediate for Network Operations Specialist) and Associate-level Cisco certification (e.g. CCNA)

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field is preferred.

  • Experience installing and operating SNMP-based network management tools (e.g. SolarWinds)

  • Able to collaborate effectively and respectfully across functions, to include other Digital disciplines, Cybersecurity, Facilities, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Program Management

  • Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation such as network diagrams.

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance.

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
